Haier’s new Commercial R290 air-to-water heat pump range extends renewable heating to buildings with greater demand. Designed for offices, hotels, restaurants, gyms and smaller commercial properties, the monobloc range combines space heating, cooling and domestic hot water production in one platform. For project teams, the starting point remains the building: its heat loss, operating hours, hot-water demand and existing emitters. A higher-capacity heat pump should be selected around those requirements, rather than floor area alone. From 26 kW to larger cascade systems The range comprises four models: AW26NMYGHA, AW30NMYGHA, AW35NMYGHA and AW40NMYGHA, rated at 26, 30, 35 and 40 kW respectively at A7/W35. Haier supports cascading up to eight units, with a maximum stated combined capacity of 320 kW. This gives designers a modular option for projects whose demand exceeds a single unit’s output. The corresponding SCOP values range from 4.46 to 4.91. At 55°C, SCOP ranges from 3.56 to 3.83; the 26 kW model is rated A+++, while the 30, 35 and 40 kW models are rated A++. At A7/W35 — 7°C outdoor air and 35°C leaving water — the model table gives COP values of 4.80, 4.55, 4.25 and 4.00 respectively. These are test-condition figures, not a promise of year-round performance or a fixed reduction in energy bills. Source: Haier technical data sheet, July 2026 High-temperature capability and practical integration The same data sheet specifies a heating leaving-water range up to 80°C and a domestic-hot-water tank storage range up to 75°C. These are different limits. Available output and efficiency at a project’s design conditions should be checked before selecting equipment for an existing radiator or hot-water system. The monobloc layout keeps the refrigeration circuit inside the outdoor unit. R290 is propane, and Haier includes a refrigerant leak detector, refrigerant separator and sealed electrical control box. The manufacturer also describes zone control for managing different building areas. Acoustic requirements and service access also belong in the project brief. Contact Absol to discuss your application and the documentation needed for equipment selection. Model availability, lead times and final system design can then be checked for your project.
